Hospital Emergency Room
The Emergency Room (ER) serves as a vital hub within every hospital, accommodating a diverse range of patients at any given time, thus often leading to high levels of congestion. This portfolio project aims to leverage Power BI, a robust data visualization tool, to delve into the intricacies of ER data analysis. By examining various factors including patient demographics, satisfaction scores, wait times, and department referrals, the objective is to uncover valuable insights that can inform improvements in both patient care and ER operations.

About Dataset
The data utilized in this project was sourced from Real World Fake #Data, aiming to track several essential Key Performance
The dataset for the Emergency Room (ER) comprises 9216 entries across 11 key columns and is stored in a .csv file format. This data was collected over a specific timeframe spanning from April 1, 2019, to October 31, 2020.
The amie from the project is to track several essential Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
- Average waiting time segmented by age group, race, and gender.
- Average satisfaction score segmented by age group, race, and gender.
- Total number of patients admitted to the Emergency Room (ER).
- Report summarizing the latest patient visit details.
- Number of patients admitted to the ER, segmented by age group, race, and gender.
The data cleaning and preparation process
was conducted entirely within Power BI. Initially, a custom date table was generated using Power Query. Following this, a conditional column was applied to distinguish between patients admitted to the ER and those discharged. Additionally, a new column was created to categorize patients into different age groups using conditional formatting techniques.
